My newly renovated smart home is close to The train to NYC, the village of Hastings-on-Hudson, on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail. Hastings-on-Hudson has inventive restaurants, cute shops, music & art galleries & many parks. You’ll love my place because of it's location and comfy bed and the VIEWS!. The space Welcome to our one-of-a-kind, super energy efficient, modern, smart home. With 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a kitchen/dining hub open to living room, downstairs screening room with 65” QLED smart TV (with RF headphones) and a cozy reading/games loft, this is the ultimate hang out house. Of course the epic Hudson River views are the real star of the show. The views and amazing light from every room, in all seasons, at all times of day, never get old. The fine weather will send you to the deck/patio/terrace/garden (work in progress) but if the weather changes you’ll take refuge in this home we’ve built to be super insulated against hot & cold with a state-of-the-art energy recovery ventilation system. What that means for you is that you will enjoy perfect temperature & air quality even in pollen season or the dead of winter. One unexpected benefit from building such a tight (but well ventilated) house is how quiet it is and how cozy you’ll feel. If/when you do want to venture off the property you’ll find the fast train to NYC a 5 minute walk downhill in the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson. HoH has shops, bars, restaurants, supermarket, natural food store, library, galleries. Nature lovers will find the Old Croton Aqueduct trail steps from our front door. Take yourself in a stroll to historic Hudson Valley properties or borrow a bike & go all the way north to Croton or south to NYC This listing is for the garden level bedroom with a California King size bed and river views. There is plenty of closet space and your own full bathroom. In a pinch there’s an air mattress for a 3rd person The other 2 bedrooms, each with its own bath, are upstairs, your area is totally private. Extended stay guests are welcome to use laundry. Guest access I will clear out a shelf or two in cupboards & fridge so guests can prepare simple meals. There is parking right in front on quiet dead end street or in my driveway. Bikes available to take out on the trail. Long staying guests can use washing machine & dryer. There is very strong wifi (FioS 400mbps & google home so it stays strong) & you are free to work here at the dining room table or out on the terrace. During your stay I will greet you or be in touch about how to enter. My schedule isn't fixed but I'm usually in & out. You will always be able to reach me by text/phone. Pretty relaxed, happy to give you recommendations. We will absolutely give you your space if you are here to decompress or put nose to the grindstone. For guests who love tech or are curious about how this smart home functions we are always happy to show off the gadgets Other things to note Walking UPHILL from station can take more like 10 minutes...those views don’t come free, gotta get high up.
