Artist’s House on Lake Como with parking and view

In an authentic lakeside village, the house of Alvaro (rationalist painter from Como) is an eighteenth-century farmhouse renovated in a modern and original style. It's the perfect location for a relaxing holiday far from the city: no traffic, no cars, just walking and trekking, or swimming! The atmosphere of the house is full of art&history and it's ideal for a romantic escape with a stunning lake view. The space The home used to be the studio of a painter who restored the old XVIII century building and left books of art and paintings in the house. The interior decoration is "vintage", original from the Seventies while the kitchen and dining area have been completely renewed in 2021. The house has a nice, private courtyard where guest can relax in the sun, enjoying the view of the lake. Ideal for a couple, romantic holiday, the house has 2 floors and hosts comfortably 4 persons (2 separate beds in a mezzanine + 1 double sofa-bed) . One bathroom with tub and shower and another just with WC and sink. Guest access Please take note that the house cannot be reached by car: the village has only pedestrian routes. No private parking, free park on the main road (200mt from the house, luggage have to be carried). The house is NOT recommended to children under 3 and to persons who do not like/can walk easy. Food shops, pharmacy, bars and other facilities are 2 kms far. The village offers just 1 typical restaurant open from May to October. Careno has a small but charmy beach. Easy connections to and from Como/Bellagio by bus and boat. Other things to note The new comfortable kitchen has been designed in order to promote the sharing of nice experiences as cooking&eating together.
