Set on a privately-owned estate in the heart of Constantia’s winelands, The Cottage is a beautifully decorated, 2-bedroom, self-catering cottage that promises to transport you to a place of tranquility, ethereal beauty and understated luxury. A true South African gem. The space Constantia Valley is the oldest wine-growing area in Southern Africa and features superb wine estates, fantastic shopping opportunities and a variety of excellent restaurants. Located at the centre of the Cape Peninsula, the Constantia Valley stretches up the south-east slopes of the Table Mountain National Park. The area is steeped in history and is home to some of the best examples of Cape Dutch architecture. The largest wine estate, Groot Constantia, is home to Van der Stel’s original manor house museum and is an excellent example of this architectural style. Only 10 minutes’ drive from Cape Town’s CBD, it’s conveniently located with easy access to some of Cape Town’s most stunning attractions, including its ruggedly beautiful coastlines. Guest access Luxurious accommodation in a private setting. Access to walks through the beautiful farm setting. Two large bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen bed), sleeping up to a maximum of four guests. Two bathrooms (showers only). Heated towel rails. Kitchen. DSTV, & CD. Wifi. Serviced Mondays to Fridays. No public holidays. Care pack (tea, coffee, and other essentials) on arrival. Laundry service available on request. Other things to note Warning - Please be aware that there are several troops of “urban” baboons around the Cape Town surrounds, which rarely come into the Constantia valley. If they do, please keep all doors and windows to The Cottage closed and do not engage them, pet them, nor feed them, encourage them etc. Food to be kept away from them at all times. When you are away from The Cottage, ensure all doors are locked and windows securely closed. There are baboon monitors in the areas. We live alongside wildlife!
