Gite de Monceaux

The space Gîte de Monceaux is an authentic and original holiday home. Thick beams and walls, beautiful wooden and stone floors. Not too big for one or two people and spacious enough to accommodate up to six people. Monceaux le Comte is a beautiful ancient French village on the Yonne with another épicerie and a good restaurant. The gîte is mainly restored with reused materials in a special and tasteful way. Two double beds and two good single beds are made for you. Wonderful cycling along the canal du nivernais, walking in the area or a splash in the Yonne or one of the lakes nearby. Old-fashioned ones get lost on one of the old roads. The Morvan and medieval towns like Vézelay and Avallon are nearby. Derk-Jan and Honorine are your host and -woman and if you want, they can give advice for a great time in the heart of France. They have lived in this wonderful place for almost 15 years and are happy to share it with you (the grounds are big enough - almost a hectare - to guarantee your privacy) Whether it's culture or delicious food and drinks, you can contact them for tips. The gîte has wifi, a large fireplace, a fragrant herbal and flower garden and a terrace for a sunny breakfast and a rosy aperitif. Other things to note In the summer months, the rental period is at least one week (from Saturday to Saturday).
