Chania Tzitzifes mansion

Renovated old stonehouse (built 1800) consisting of two (loft type) rooms and a in a separate building a fully equipped kitchen (entrance from shaded yard -look at the photos). Can sleep up to 4 people (one double bed at bedroom and 2 sofas at main room). Shaded yard with beautiful external views . Tzitzifes is a small village located at the foot of a mountain ,way off the tourist paths. Use of car necessary.Parking area 30m from home. Closest beach Georgioupolis and Kavros 18 min drive. The space The house is renovated with taste and mostly personal (website hidden) It is actually my weekend house (when I have time for that ) Everything in the house is at your disposal (including my painting tools !!) Tzitzifes is a small secluded traditional village at the foothills of the White Mountains with beautiful views across the fertile valley of Vrisses. The village is surrounded by trees and has two good local tavernas, kafenion and a small grocery store. Traditional Cretan ewes milk cheese is made in the village. The sandy beaches of Kalives or Georgioupoli can be reached by car in 15-20 minutes, the village of Fres, with tavernas and a small grocery store, is just five minutes away while the village of Vrisses with its shaded riverside tavernas, and further amenities is just 10 minutes drive away. The historical town of Chania with its beautiful Venetian harbour is 30 minutes to the west, while the town of Rethymnon is approximately 40 minutes drive East. The archaeological sites of Knossos and Phaestos are just over an hour’s drive from the village.
