Bright windowed modern house tucked in the forest on the edge of a large State Park (Minnewaska State Park.) 1.5 hours from the GWB. Endless hiking, biking and rock climbing (minutes from Mohonk Preserve.) House is on 3.5 acres of wooded land. 23 minutes drive from New Paltz w/ many nice restaurants, shops. Closest town is Kerhonkson. Take a walk to Rough Cut Brewery, excellent food and outdoor dinning. Sheets, towels, shampoo, sugar, salt, oil, French press & espresso & basic kitchen stuff. The house is a two level open layout with large living space and kitchen attached. Main level: bedroom with a queen size bed, kitchen, dining area and full bathroom. Lower level: Office, bedroom with king size bed and single bed. There is also a wood burning stove as well. All the the house living spaces are available. This includes the backyard, front garden area and deck. We won't be near the house but have people nearby if there are any issues which need attention. We are always available by phone/text. Plenty of things to do: walks, natural swimming holes in Accord, Ellenville, and the two parks nearby. Two local breweries, casual and fancy restaurants in New Paltz, High Falls, Rosendale, Gardiner. It's also possible to take a train to Poughkeepsie and ride a bike to the house if you know what your doing and can ride for two hours ( I have done it, its fun.) Be aware of conserving water as it comes from the well. The well water is clean, it goes through a particle and UV filter. Please note we are required to charge a 2% hotel/short term occupancy fee which is built into the cost of the rental. We will pay this money to Ulster County Dept of Finance. The County puts this money into tourism things.
