Tuhitarata Annex Studio is a corner wing with its own entrance, of the historic homestead Tuhitarata, built in the 1870s on the Tuhitarata Estate . Located a pleasant 12- 13 min drive south of Martinborough and it is set in an acre of beautifully planted country garden,. The Annex comprises a bedroom, tiled bathroom and attached conservatory. Set in park like grounds, the Estate is yours to stroll and relax in. Call Lacewood for further information. The space The Annex comprises a three room suite comprising a bedroom, ensuite and Victorian conservatory to relax in with beautiful garden views . There are 2 acres of gardens to stroll in and the night sky is wondrous. Guest access Guests are welcome to walk and enjoy the gardens, the nativebush with its 400 year old Kahikatea and the urupa of Te Hiko Piata and his wife (google Te Hiko Piata Tama i Hikoia ) and the historic graves of Angus McMaster and family, the first Pakeha owners of Tuhitarata. Other things to note Enjoy the great Wairarapa nightsky on a clear night - it's as good as it gets in part of the Wairarapa . There is a pool available during summer months. Weekend bookings 2 night minimum. The annex does not have cooking facilities but a BBQ is available for use if required. Continental breakfast provided for $15 pp. Please advise on booking if required.
