Bedrooms: Room 1=QS bed (1), Room 2=King bed ensemble (1)/OR singles split (2). Secure courtyards x 2, shower + toilet x1. Outdoor dining alongside the sparkling saltwater pool. Plenty of desk & relax spaces for your needs. Entertainment: board games,TV, DVDs, chromecast for internet/Netflix if you hold an account. Secure off street parking. The space Covid19 aware and CLEANED thoroughly, for your safety and peace of mind! WELCOME! This is a BUSINESS READY and FAMILY FRIENDLY homestay. The INDOOR spaces are fully air conditioned and tiled throughout. Outside there are wall fans available on the tiled outdoor dining area - pool side. Enjoy a coffee and a read here, or laze under an umbrella around the pool, or even grab a chair and enjoy the lush tropical gardens under a shady tree. The bird song early in the morning is lovely! A possum might be heard rustling in the tops of the trees in the far corners at night, or even the bizarre call of the stone bush curlew! During the rains in the Wet be prepared to experience the symphony of green tree frogs. This is tropical Darwin ......... The LIVING area has large louvered window galleys - a great feature of the tropical home when you want to open up the home and catch the breeze. It also has a large wall mounted TV and a DVD player. We have many DVDs available if you just want to "veg out" and some board games to get back to basics! There is also a secure WiFi system connected to the National Broadband Network (NBN). Netflix can be viewed if you hold an account, or chrome cast other entertainment. The KITCHEN end of the living space includes instant and ground coffee, a selection of teas and some herbs & spices. It also has some other basics like bread, breakfast condiments, milk and cereal on your arrival. It is equipped with glasses, crockery, cutlery, cooking pots, pans and utensils. It has an eight cup coffee maker as well as 2 coffee plungers, a microwave, electric jug, ceramic stove top, fan forced oven, a rice cooker, sandwich maker, a blender and toaster, all to assist you to self cater to your needs. The SLEEPING space and bathroom, are accessed through a separate entry we call "the breezeway". From this internal room you access the modern toilet and shower room with vanity (including hair dryer), and the bedrooms. If privacy is required, the two bedrooms are individually lockable. They join this space and the MAIN bedroom contains a compact workstation and a comfortable QUEEN BED ENSEMBLE. The second bedroom has the versatility of a new KING BED ENSEMBLE that converts to LONG SINGLES x 2 when SPLIT. This caters for couples, non-couples, and is particularly welcomed by families with children. Both bedrooms have small wall mounted TVs, modern inverter air conditioners and inside the built in wardrobes and shelving, small safes for your valuables or passports. The COMMON spaces we happily share: - the large & renovated salt-chlorinated swimming pool - a small gas BBQ - the internal laundry - the yard areas LAUNDRY: To avoid any contamination concerns, for safety during Covid19 or other infectious outbreaks, we action a segregated use of the two washing machines and sundry laundry items. This is our blue ribbon safety system. - You have an allocated outdoor clothesline with pegs for your exclusive use, wash bag and clothes basket, as well as foldable clothes airers for internal or undercover use. These items all have a blue ribbon on them for easy identification. - Please note: basic washing detergent is supplied. - For hygiene and safety, all your personal products or items are to be kept in the Airbnb space, rather than in the laundry area.The internal clothes dryer is for back up use, in wet weather only.... :) However, the shared laundry stores an iron and ironing board also for your exclusive use. CLEANING PRODUCTS are available here, also for your use only. We have our own items upstairs which are quite separate. To assist for your private tourist sightseeing days, we have for your use: portable chairs, a basic PICNIC basket, with rug, plastic ware and water container. Just provide your food and drinks of choice. If you need an umbrella, we have those as well! Please note: Besides being BUSINESS READY, we are a FAMILY FRIENDLY homestay. If you have specific needs for your family, please contact me. The rooms are prepared as queen and king beds. If you wish for the second bedroom to have the single beds x 2 bedding format, then please ADVISE at the time of booking, so it can be arranged in advance of your arrival. On REQUEST: a basic video baby monitor, a portacot, a high chair, a baby change mat, and a basic wooden playpen are also available for use. All Airbnb essentials are provided, including all linen - including separate pool towels. Just pack your bags and arrive! Any queries? Please make contact, for my business is to make your stay a great one! Guest access You have SEPARATE entry doors for your privacy and convenience. The property also has locked perimeter gates for added personal and vehicular security. Most times we will be here to greet you on your arrival, and see you in to the space. If however this cannot happen, we can arrange with you a drop point for keys. All keys will have been cleaned and disinfected for your safety. Please note: The driveway for your pedestrian/vehicle entry also houses our parked caravan, so space is limited. If travelling with a trailer or caravan, please advise in advance. Thank you. Other things to note Mail/Parcel Delivery: Sadly, we do not allow any mail/parcels to be delivered using our Airbnb address. As “Short-term rental guests, any mail you want to receive, can use the “Poste Restante” in the city, for delivery. Any unexpected mail/parcels will be returned to sender. For mobility: General accessibility information for guests that may assist you in choosing the homestay space. 1. The Airbnb guest driveway is concrete and generally flat. The space usually shares our stored caravan as well, so is limited. 2. At the front entry access point, there is a small raised entry step of approximately 50mm. 3. This is also the same height rise/fall to the undercover entertainment space facing the pool. 4. A few flat walking steps walk to the "sleeping /bathroom" space. There is one step that would be about 70mm rise into this space. 5. If accessing the entertainment tiled area alongside the shared pool space, (back door access) both entry areas on to this space have a one step rise/fall, each a 100mm standard rise. 6. Laundry room entry has a higher raised access of 170mm. 7. Shower facility: There is a higher tiled barrier/ step into the shower recess. [not overly visible in shower image. This rise would be c. 290mm (11.5 inches.) 8. There are no guard or hand support rails alongside the toilet or for shower entry. However, the toilet is near the wall and hand basin. 9. The shower head can be fixed in situ or hand held. 10. A shower chair can be provided on request.
