The Magnolia is a luminous, art-filled penthouse in central Athens—the home of art lovers and collectors. Original works by Greek artists sit alongside carefully sourced antiques and iconic twentieth-century design. From the mahogany-lined library to the planted terrace, every room has its own character. The space The Magnolia is a spacious two-bedroom penthouse arranged as a sequence of generous, individually composed rooms, each with its own atmosphere. The entrance hall sets the tone, bringing together Louis XV chairs, an English drum table and works by Greek artists. The living room is arranged around an antique fireplace crowned by a large antique mirror. Vico Magistretti’s Cassina Maralunga leather sofas are paired with a Mies van der Rohe coffee table, a French bergère and a carefully assembled collection of paintings and objects. In the adjoining dining room, a Frank Lloyd Wright dining table and barrel chairs sit alongside family antiques and Greek art. A large swing door connects the dining room directly to the fully equipped kitchen. The mahogany-paneled library is the signature room of the house: an atmospheric retreat with books, a collection of vinyl records, a leather sofa and an antique desk—ideal for reading, working or listening to music. The spacious main bedroom opens directly onto the terrace. It features a four-poster bed, a velvet chaise longue and an antique standing mirror. Its private bathroom includes a Jacuzzi bath and a shower. The second bedroom—affectionately known as the Darling’s Room—is light and intimate, with a handcrafted antique oak bed, an Eames rocking chair, and a small private balcony. It has its own shower room, while the washbasin is situated within the bedroom itself. Outside, the generous marble terrace is surrounded by Mediterranean plants and arranged as an open-air living and dining room—ideal for breakfast, a quiet afternoon or an evening drink. High-speed Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace, air-conditioning units in both bedrooms and the main living area, and a 55-inch HDTV with Netflix provide contemporary comfort throughout the stay.
