Description

Aptly named the Osprey Treehouse because of the multiple Osprey that spent the summer hovering and watching us build this 20-foot octagon building around a single grand 42-inch old Douglas Fir. Oversized windows and a sliding door give you the feeling of being high up in the trees. Sleeps 2 adults. For safety reasons, we do not allow pets or children younger than 12. The entrance is level and parking close. The cleaning fee is $50 and applicable taxes are already added to your bill. The space The Osprey Treehouse is separate and nestled in the trees of our 30 acres of gorgeous waterfront property. Skamania Coves has 7 vacation homes (the treehouse included) and multiple RV spaces (open in the Spring and Summer). The Columbia River Train runs along both sides of the river, they do not run on a schedule and travel throughout the day and night. It is part of the Gorge culture and can't be avoided. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Use caution when crossing. Guest access Guests of the Osprey Treehouse have full access to the 3 Coves down along the river. Picnicking during good weather. Fabulous storm watching on windy days. Guests are welcome to walk the property, we ask that you respect the privacy of other guests staying in our other vacation rentals. Other things to note Trains run on both sides of the river. They have become part of the gorge culture and can't be avoided. The spectacular view and water front access make up for the disruption the trains may cause. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Use caution when crossing the tracks. Wild life such as black bear, cougar, deer, rabbits and water fowl live in this area. Please be respectful and do not leave any food in your car or outside.
