Beautiful stone house in peaceful village. 230 km from Paris, near Chablis, Noyers, Tonnerre. Inside private garden wall, carefully and simply renovated, sleeps 8 comfortably. Bakery 5 min. walk. Near restaurants, wine caves, butcher, gas, shops. The space We have taken great care to preserve the authentic simple style of the old building in all renovation and furnishing details. Entering through the garden wall from the street is like stepping into another century. The space is very suitable for families or group of friends, accomodating up to eight people easily. KITCHEN: this room dominates the ground floor, with double french doors opening up to gardens on both sides of the house. Here it is nice and cool in summer, but the heated floor and wood stove keeps it cozy in colder seasons. A long wooden table seats 12. (There are also several tables in the gardens for outdoor meals.) Well equipped for cooking and with dishwasher. Walk-in pantry provides ample space for storage. BEDROOMS: Two double bedrooms (one on ground floor, one on upper floor) and an upper floor "dormitory" bedroom with with four beds. LIVING ROOM: upper floor, with wooden stove, arm chairs and sofa, many games, guitar, Internet. BATHROOM: shower, washer/dryer. Bedlinens and towels are included. There is a baby bed and baby chair. GARDEN: Several tables/seating of different sizes, old ceramic fireplace, clothesline, flowering trees and beds, grapevines. Surrounded by a high stone wall, creating wonderfully peaceful private space. Guest access The guests have unlimited access to all the facilities in the house, with exception to the garage. Other things to note We ask guests to leave the house tidy. Empty the fridge and do not leave any food or garbage behind since we are not always able to be present directly before/after each visit. You must either deposit the garbage at the recycling down by the canal or bring it with you. It is not allowed to leave garbage bags outside in the street.
