A comfortably furnished, centrally located 1-room apartment on the 3rd floor (elevator) of a newly renovated building. Surrounded by Augarten (with baroque garden), Danube & Danube Canal. Double bed (180x200), Sofa bed (140x200), 1 TV, WLAN, Internet, kitchen incl. Nespresso machine, air conditioning. Close to a shopping street with all kinds of shops. Near are trams, buses and subways. So you reach quickly any hotspot in town. The space The apartment was completely refurbished in 2017 and focused on the needs of travelers . It is located in an absolutely quiet side street, is located in the 3rd floor (elevator) and is therefore always bright and friendly. From the entrance area turn left into the bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. Small but practical with towels, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo , hair dryer and hand washing cream . Beside it is a newly remodeled kitchen with refrigerator incl. freezer and 2 hotplates . Nespresso machine, filter coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, juicer, blender, pots, pans, pizza plates, glasses, crockery and cutlery . There is also a dining table for 4 people, a large bed ( 180x200 ), large wardrobe, radio, television and a really comfortable sofa bed (140x200) which invites you to cozy reading and relaxing .Also you find there an ironing board , iron, clothes horse , vacuum cleaners & dustpan . We offer free Internet & over 100 TV channels. Bed linen , tea towels and hand & bath towels are provided .Also is available : salt, pepper , vinegar, oil , sugar, coffee filters , Nespresso capsules and ground coffee . Although it is an old building nevertheless it can be hot in this apartment in summer, so we provide a mobile air-conditioning for the hot days of the year. Guest access The apartment keys will be handed over personally at the apartment upon arrival. We explain all the important things, show the operation of all appliances and answer any questions. Prepared is also a folder with all essential informations concerning the apartment, such as device usage, Internet and TV access. Also descriptions of the environment, the shops, public transport services with distances contained therein. Our personal restaurant tipps, informations about events, concerts, markets, sights, timetables and fares of public transport. We offer Folders, as city plans, cycling opportunities, tourist buses and more. Everything what might be important for Vienna's visitors. Other things to note The apartment is centrally located. But Vienna is a sprawling city. Therefore it makes sense to use public transport. Here are buses, trams and metros in the near vicinity. For speed, the subways are very useful. To feel the flair of the city more intensive, it is better, to use trams and buses. Nearby circling the hop-on, hop-off buses, the Augarten is within walking distance and the Prater can easily be reached with tram 5. With the 5 tram line you reach directly Westbahnhof through beautiful areas of the city. The tram 31 takes you to the wine village Stammersdorf with many wine taverns, but also to the Danube island you do it with the 31er. And if the return trip should be faster, then use U6 or U4. Busses can be wonderfully used for exploring your surroundings. You quickly get everywhere. And if you are very tired, then just take a Viennese taxi and pay for the short distances to the apartment little money. For larger excursions to the surrounding areas use your car, or many trains and ships. For example: you reach Bratislava by ship with Twin City Liner (starting at Schwedenplatz) in about 70 minutes, or the Wachau by train in about 40 minutes. Those arriving by car should know that there is only short parking (Kurzparkzone). Parking tickets must be used. When not in use, or timeout, we must point out that the penalties are relatively high. The nearest parking garage is the Garage at Brigittaplatz in about 300 meters or garage Wextraße (about 750 meters). Further information is available on the Internet. Within 200 meters there are all essential shops, restaurants, Beiseln, a gourmet restaurant, cake shop, fast snacks, markets such as the Hannover Market (2 minutes walk), the Karmelitermarkt (bus 5A), the goings there, especially on Saturday mornings, you should have seen. Many major sights (Augarten, the Vienna Boys' Choir, Prater, racecourse in the Krieau, new university, Ringstrasse, old university Altes AKH) with many restaurants, the Freyung, Hundertwasser House, St. Stephen's Cathedral, the oldest part of town, Carinthian street, town Hall, Hofburg, Minoritenkirche, Karlsplatz, Naschmarkt, Kunsthistorisches & Naturhistorisches Museum, Albertina, Opera, Parliament, Burgtheater, "Bermuda triangle", just the whole city) are to reach with a 10 or 20 minutes walk, or quicker by public transport. Other hotspots: Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace, the Danube Island, the fountain market (Brunnenmarkt), Danube Tower and Danube Park, the Vienna International Center, the Old Danube and the Danube Center can be reached within 25 minutes.
