Nestled in the hillside, Homeleigh is a modern detached house providing all the comforts of home. Winner of 'Certificate of Excellence' 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 'Travellers Choice 2020, 2021, 2022' from TripAdvisor. Located in the southern peninsula of Skye, known as Sleat, we have panoramic views across the Sound of Sleat to the fishing village of Mallaig, Loch Nevis and the Knoydart Peninsula on the mainland. Homeleigh is within one mile of the Armadale to Mallaig ferry terminal. The space We have two king-size bedrooms at Homeleigh (maximum of two sharing in each room). Each room is virtually identical and have fantastic sea and mountian views. This listing is for one of the two rooms. If you need more rooms check our other listings! The two king size bedrooms all have sea views. They are en-suite and include tea & coffee making facilities, satellite TV and Wi-fi. The guests dining area is the conservatory where you may enjoy superb views whilst breakfasting on full Scottish or ‘Continental’. Where possible the food is locally sourced and only free range eggs are served. Evening meals can be obtained at the Ardvasar Hotel, or 'Gasta' at Armadale Castle, a pleasant stroll away. Homeleigh is a strictly non-smoking establishment. Guest access Guests have access through the front door of the house and full access to thier own room. In the morning they get access to the guest dining room which is in the conservatory. During your stay Both my wife and I are more than happy to assist in any way during your stay and can offer advice on locally available activities and attractions. Other things to note We offer a 'full cooked' or 'continental' breakfast at Homeleigh, generally eggs (cooked to order), bacon, sausage, tomatoes, bread, toast, oatcakes, crackers, tea, filter coffee, fruit juice, cheese, cold meats, cold boiled eggs, jams and preserves, yoghurt and fresh fruit. This menu will change daily depending on availability. Breakfast is served 0700hrs to 0900hrs. We can offer a laundry service, washing / drying at £10 per load. Please supply the laundry to us by 2100hrs at the very latest as the washing / drying will take around 2hrs to complete. Hot water is available 24hrs, but the central heating operates on a timer system in the morning and evening. In cold weather we will happily turn the heating on outside of the regularly timed operation. The hot water is not unlimited however, so please keep shower times to a minimum to allow other guests a fair share! Both your room and the front internal door have locks. You will be issued with both of these keys on your arrival. The front internal door is to remain locked at all times. The toilets, shower and bath are connected to a private septic tank system, so please do not throw any materials down the toilet other than toilet paper and human waste.
