Description
“Tobar nan Iasgair” means “Well of the fisherman”, for centuries, fishing boats would anchor here to fill up with fresh water. It’s a spacious family home, there's a large sitting / dining room with wonderful views across Loch Linnhie, Benderloch, Ben Cruachan, and to the ferry terminal, and Island's, comings and goings. Extra's, cot, high chair. There is a TV, games, VHS video's Wi-Fi a well equipped kitchen, a sun porch, and a garden area. with superb views The space My place is ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends. There ate 2 bedrooms with sea views, they both have a 5ft kingsize bed and a chair bed if needed. There is a third room which has a lot of books in it. This room has a double bed . There is a travel cot. There are some steps into the house from the porch, at the back door there are 2 steps. Once inside there is level access to all the rooms. The kitchen and other areas of the house have many family items as it isn't only a "holiday home". Guest access Guests can access the sun porch, the garden at the front and rear, the 2 front bedrooms, one back bedroom, the sitting room, the kitchen, bathroom, toilet. We would ask guests to stay in the immediate garden area, the 2 sheds should not be accessed. Other things to note Lismore is an island close to the mainland but still rather remote! We don't have mainland services. The water is a private supply and can be subject to weather, so please be aware if it's dry for a couple of months in summer it may be that you will have to use sparingly. I will let you know as normally its fine! We are subject to occasional powercuts, these have even been known to happen in August. The ferry service can't always run and is weather and tide dependant. The house has, up until recently been my parents home, they were both keen gardeners, unfortunately it became very overgrown and it's taking time to clear. My Dad loved fishing and always had a project on the go. There is no separate shower, there's a bath with an electric shower above. There is a stove which burns wood/ coal. Otherwise the heating is electric radiators .The kitchen is well equipped and there is coffee, tea, and basic condiments. Registration Details 230908-000187
