The space The property originally built in 1896 has been recently restored to its original exterior with a modern twist inside. Our self-catering units are close to all main touristic attractions. The house is within walking distance to the cities new main restaurant and Art hub (Bree Street). We are also within walking distance to touristic Long Street Loop St. as well as popular hip Kloof St. Our interiors are tastefully decorated with a completely open plan living studio feel. Each kitchenette is equipped with all the main amenities. The bathrooms are finished with modern features and come stocked fresh hotel quality towels. The bedroom is separated with a screen and leads onto a balcony with views of the mountain. All units are fitted with smoke detectors and therefore are non-smoking but you may smoke on the balconies. The space is ideal for couples friends business travellers and those who want to experience the beauty of Cape Town and the charm of Bo-Kaap. Guest access Guest have access to the entire apartment during their stay. On the top level of the building is an amazing rooftop views of the entire city. This space is shared with 5 other units but is mostly secluded. Other things to note Neighbours are doing a slight refurb so you can expect the resulting noise between 8am and 5pm. Please note that this property, as well as all other Airbnb's in Cape Town, experience load-shedding. It is a government-enforced cut-off of main power to certain areas at scheduled times during the day. We do offer the convenience of portable lamps during these periods which can also be used to charge your mobile devices. We do provide a battery to power the Wi-fi and the communal area lights in the passageways. Additionally, we'll provide you with an app that sends notifications of scheduled power outages, so you can plan accordingly. We do provide enough Electricity for guest stays, should electricity units run low the guest will be responsible for topping up. Electricity units can be purchased at a local shop.
