Rivendell treehouse

'Rivendell' is a tiny treehouse built on an ancient chestnut tree in a permaculture forest - farm in an unspoilt area of Garfagnana in the province of Lucca. The treehouse itself consists of a tiny private bedroom with small double bed, and a terrace for viewing the sunset. In addition there are spaces shared with guest in other parts of the forest, such as living room, communal kitchen, bathrooms with hot showers, outdoor solar shower and campfire area. The space The treehouse is not enclosed, there are no windows, so you may hear the wind, the rain and other sounds from the forest including squirrels, dormice, foxes and wild boar. In the event of bad weather such as thunder and lightening or high winds we recommend cancelling or postponing your stay, we can arrange this with either a full refund or postponement as you prefer. We also have an emergency tent available if you are already here and would feel safer on the ground. Guest access Bathroom with hot shower close by shared with other guests of the campsite, and communal kitchen if you wish to cook or prepare your own meals Other things to note Rivendell is not suitable for children under the age of 14. On your arrival you will find the bed made with clean sheets and appropriate blankets, if you are planning on staying in the cooler months it might be a good idea to bring sleeping bags or extra blankets just in case.
