Rua Awa Lodge offers picturesque self contained accomodation set on 20 acres of gardens, orchards, expansive lawns, native bush, (cattle and sheep, seasonal) and views of Mt Ruapehu, Mt Ngauruhoe and Mt Tongariro. We border a Department of Conservation reserve that resonates with the sound of birdsong, enjoy nature on your doorstep, private access to the Whanganui and Whakapapa Rivers, great fishing, swimming and walking. Or simply stay put read a book, relax and soak up the classic NZ scenery. The space Lots of room to spread out and relax, yoga studio and relaxation space, outdoor furniture, decks, fire pit and BBQ. The shower, bath and toilet are attached to the accommodation, but are outside the main building. The bedroom is also attached to the main building, accessed by a 3m walkway. Homemade & homegrown breakfast provisions provided. Guest access Easy level access with parking, enjoy wide open spaces, intimate corners, spectacular vistas, vegetable garden and orchards. Private access to the Whanganui and Whakapapa Rivers via enchanting bush track. Other things to note We are a working farm and live on site. If you love the outdoors you'll be happy here. We provide free Wi-Fi, if you are having trouble connecting please let us know. Mobile signal is good with Spark and Skinny, anything else is patchy. Rua Awa Lodge is smoke and vape free.
