Description

Dar Zelda is located in the oldest district of the old city, the district of the great foundouks: old caravanserails of the Silk Road in Africa. The riad is right next to the Medersa Ben Youssef, the Marrakech Museum and the House of Photography. In the heart of the Medina, Riad Dar Zelda is perfectly situated for walking to cafes, restaurants, souks, museums and monuments. It is a 10 minute cab ride to the Majorelle Gardens in Guéliz and the new Yves St Laurent Museum. The space Dar Zelda is a large 19th century residence of rich merchants. Riad in the 'New Morroccan Style': a subtle blend of modern architecture, clean lines, precious woods, wrought iron and numerous silks. The Riad has 4 double rooms, 3 Junior Suites, a Historical Suite (70 m2) and a design apartment on the terrace (40m²). The decoration is made of ecclectic antiques and design furniture. The Riad also has a small heated swimming pool, a large Jacuzzi on the terrace. A real paradise hidden in the magical chaos of Marrakech! Your host is an excellent source of information on the best restaurants, unusual places, the best plans, cultural visits, etc. ** Type: Suite (35m²) on the second floor Capacity: 3 persons (king size bed + single bed) The suite Tataoui (“crossed wooden ceiling” in Arabic) has a cool feeling with modern and traditional touches. Guest access For something new and very closeby to Dar Zelda: Because the souk is made up of small, packed streets, you might imagine that everything hidden behind its doors is small too. Not so. Le Jardin Secret (The Secret Garden) will give you a stunning idea of the beauty that lies hidden behind seemingly humble exteriors. This former palace is now home to a cafe and a huge – and beautiful – walled garden. It’s a tranquil respite from the hustle and bustle of the souk. PLACE DJEMAA EL FNA:Trust us: this is one of the best Marrakech street foods. When you’ve finished a day’s sightseeing, head to the food stalls that are set up every night on Djemaa el Fna. Most are like mini restaurants serving a range of dishes but Stall 66 sells just one thing: egg rolls. Not just any egg rolls though. These are an insanely good mix of fluffy potato, boiled eggs, soft cheese, harissa, cumin, olive oil and salt. Washed down with herb tea. Delicious. During your stay Your host, Michel, is a veritable fountain of great knowledge of the city: the trendiest, best restaurants; the most romantic venues; excursions, guided tours, rental cars, golfing reservations, spas(we are opening our own adjacent to the riad September 2020) Other things to note Here, you live with the seasons, wandering from the terrace to the patio in summer and living close to the open fire in winter. The table also metamorphosis during the year using local and seasonal products cooked delicately by our chef cuisinière. You can take time to taste healthy ingredients, assembled according to the principles of Moroccan cuisine. You can enjoy a book, a mint tea or a siesta in the shade
