'Getndare': Country Mud-brick Cottage

‘Getndare' is a perfect relaxing getaway for couples or families. Stunning views to Mt Wellington, Cathedral Rock, Mt Montague and Thark Ridge over looking a pond teeming with frogs, birds and water lilies . Located only 10 minutes from Kingston, less than 5 minutes to the motorway that leads to either The Huon Valley or back to Kingston and Hobart. A great base to explore Southern Tasmania. The space The cottage has rustic wooden beams which originally came from The Old Woolstore in Hobart. It features stain glass windows, stone walls and a cosy fireplace. It also has modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi, a smart TV and a split system that heats and cools the home. Guest access The surrounding paddock has a golf pitching range with clubs and balls provided. We encourage guests to use these facilities but to shut the gates. There are sheep grazing in these paddocks periodically. Other things to note There are two houses on the large property, ‘Getndare Cabin’ is currently rented. The two houses are private from each other. The pond is a magnate for children but requires adult supervision. The sandpit and teepee are shared between the two dwellings. The bedrooms are located upstairs and bathroom and toilet downstairs, people with mobility issues may find this difficult. We will consider pets and longer stays at special rates.
