Simonds Guesthouse E., Refreshing Country Retreat
The Simonds Guest House, East, c.1908, is a double farmhouse of generous proportions. All the comfortable systems: queen beds, Wifi, heating and air conditioning, electrical and plumbing are new. The furnishings are charming, decidedly period, a lovely home where no parties, pets, smoking or drugs are allowed. We are located in the heart of the Yakima Valley Wine Country and many special breweries. In season are many outdoor activities for guests, skiing only 45 minutes away . The space Our basic price of $125 for 1 to 2 guests in one queen bedroom, includes a fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher, Keurig, original sink and cabinets with old dishes and glassware, a vintage stove and refrigerator. The bathroom with new tile floor and the original claw-footed tub and shower adjoining the bedroom with wicker queen bed and ample storage. The beautifully furnished dining room with fireplace and large living room, include an inviting entry hall. A private porch off the dining room is comfortable for morning coffee, dining and unwinding with a glass of wine in the shade at the end of the day. The back porch has space for biking, hiking and skiing equipment, and the washer and dryer. This a complete private home with ample parking, and no one else will share your space. If desired, space may be booked for extra guests in second story bedrooms with one queen bed or a larger room with one queen bed and two single beds. This is a very private home for one or two at our basic price, but can easily be expanded when arrangements are made for 3 to 8 persons at $60 per person per night. Guest access The garden around the house is in the landscaping mode. The irrigation system has been installed so planting is beginning. Next door, our guests have access to our large beautiful historic garden for strolling and relaxing, and a large swimming pool with dressing rooms, by arrangement, from May 20th to September 20th. There are many good walks from the house on the wild side out through orchards and hop yards, and down to the river. Our neighborhood pub, Hoptown Watering Hole, with it's casual gourmet fare and local brews and wines has reopened, along with many other restaurants and groceries, all from 8 to 15 minuets away. Other things to note Right now the fall is beautiful and skiing about to begin at White Pass Ski Area AND IT IS only 45 min. away! We are very convenient to I-82, just south of Yakima. Many wineries and breweries are busy now, and are minutes away, Yakima Tourism lists their many upcoming special events. This is a great family place but special arrangements need to be made for very young children. NO pets, NO parties and NO smoking or drugs on this property.
