The Homestead - 1890’s villa in Patumahoe village

The Homestead is a New Zealand Kauri villa built in the 1890’s. With Kauri floorboards, original doors, windows and fireplaces, this airy homestead is steeped in the history of a bygone age. Now fully renovated, with a large wood burning stove in the living room and heat pumps in the bedrooms, The Homestead is a cosy, relaxing country retreat just 45 minutes drive from Auckland CBD and Auckland airport. The space As well as three double bedrooms downstairs (one with en suite), there is a loft extension above the garage with a queen sized bed. A large window seat in the lounge can be made up into a bed for an 11th person if required. It is worth noting that our house water is collected from our roof and pumped into the house. Unfortunately only one shower can be used at a time. We like to leave the basics in the scullery and invite you to use whatever you need when preparing a meal.
