Nestling on the award winning Heritage Coast and Welsh Coastal Path at Southerndown, in the Vale of Glamorgan (an area of outstanding beauty), our quirky Shepherd’s Hut is perfectly positioned. A picturesque stroll through Slade Gardens, awarded the Best Walking Spot in 2019 on the South Wales Coast by Country Living, you find yourself at a sandy beach perfect for a quick dip before breakfast! Enjoy coastal beach walks surfing swimming and cycling. We are 15 minutes from J35 on the M4 Motorway. The space The Shepherds Hut has a comfy double bed, table and chairs and a wood burner. The cooking area is outside under parasols, there is a camping gas hob. Outside seating areas include 2 chairs on wooden veranda/decking and picnic table on cockled terrace. The hot shower and flushing loo are about 130m away in a purpose built washroom. There is electricity in the hut and you'll be given some lanterns which are rechargeable. We have wifi. Mobile reception extremely patchy. Please bring a torch and wellies. Please note the hut is off grid so there is no electricity. Wifi available. All linen provided including tea towels. No beach towels are provided. Big basket of wood provided, for the log burner, extra wood can be purchased at £5.00 a bag Camping gas two ring burner Cooking pot, saucepans x2, kettle, mugs, plates, jugs, cutlery, bowls, glasses, tea pot, tea and coffee, cooking utensils No fridge Property not suitable for dogs Check out by 10.00am Other things to note Not suitable for dogs.
