The Lily Pond, Devon Unwind Love Calm

Escape to Devon Love • Dartmoor • Beach • Pub • Cycle • Walk • Unwind • Calm Relax and unwind in our sunny single-level, southwest-facing barn, with views over the lily pond and orchard. Totnes is 4 mins drive away, or meander along the lanes. Local pub is 6 mins walk which serves delicious food. Wifi - login to your own personal Netflix account etc, or work from home. Dartmoor National Park, the Devon coast, beaches, rivers - we're ideally placed for all. Bring your walking boots/bike. The space Relax and unwind in The Lily Pond which is part of an old, now non-working farm, that dates from the early 1800s. It is a lovely mixture of old and new, with a wood burner, timber cladding, stone walls, and a fully modern interior. You will have the whole building to yourselves, with your own private sunny terrace which looks out over the lily pond and the orchard beyond. The bed is a super-comfy king size with a deluxe Laura Ashley mattress, and an en-suite shower room (no bath). Snuggle up next to the cosy wood burner for relaxing nights in, or visit the top-notch village pub/restaurant which is a 6 min walk away. There is oodles of walking and cycling nearby, and you can walk or cycle from the door. Bring your bikes - we have undercover storage - or maybe kayak on the river Dart. The overall floor area of the barn is about 50 square metres. There is a 2 seater bench, 2 reclining chairs, table, & sun umbrella on the sun terrace. The barn is all on one level apart from 2 small steps up into the barn. There is a fitted kitchen with utensils, crockery, microwave, oven, hob, and fridge (with integrated 15 litre ice box). For any laundry there is a launderette in Totnes only 1.5 miles. If we are around - there is a washing machine (in a separate building) which may be accessed by arrangement. From your terrace, you may see buzzards overhead, the local deer at dawn, or the heron or ducks on the pond, and starry nights too. Unsuitable for toddlers due to a pond which is a few feet away. We do not charge extra for cleaning as we clean the property ourselves. Free onsite parking for 1 car. The hosts live close by and are sometimes available, so if there is anything you need just ask, as we are more than happy to help. We do not yet have facilities for charging electric cars, but Totnes and Dartington and Buckfastleigh have several fast charging stations. Guest access We have free parking for one vehicle directly in front of the barn. Key lock box available for guest access. Directions Host will contact you by email a few days before arrival to send out directions, as satnav will only deliver you to an adjacent lane. Other things to note Please keep the wooden farm gate onto the lane closed after each entry and exit. Thanks Apologies, site not suitable for dogs, or visiting dogs due to other pets.
