The Jones Mansion

This historic home in the heart of town is an excellent gathering place for larger groups and families who want to share some common spaces and still have the privacy of separate bedrooms. Use it as home base for exploring the driftless area and it's many treasures. Explore galleries and shops, take a bike ride or indulge in one of the area's restaurants. Explore your artistic side in the third floor Creative Studio. Let your imagination lead you and the studio inspire you. The space The Jones Mansion is a treasure from the past with many of it's features original to it's 1906 beginnings. Extraordinary examples of craftsmanship from a bygone era are in every detail of the house once owned by the founder of the Mineral Point Lead and Zinc Works and former Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Guest access The house is yours to explore including the third floor Creative Studio. Other things to note The home is historic and grand, however, do keep in mind that as such it lacks some common modern amenities. Most notably air conditioning and elevators. It is not for those with mobility issues as all the bedrooms and bathrooms are up one flight of stairs. There are window air conditioners in each bedroom, however, there is not central air-conditioning.
