Whidbey Island is accessible from the east via the Mukilteo ferry near Seattle and from the north via the Deception Pass Bridge. The Coupeville ferry links Whidbey Island to the Olympic Peninsula. Deception Pass Bridge links Whidbey Island to the mainland, Anacortes and the Skagit Valley. There is free bus service around the island.
