Set in 2.5 acres of meadow, in a Special Area of Conservation, it's the perfect place to relax. Enjoy the utmost luxury, with no detail having been spared. Cozy up by the log burner, or enjoy a soak in the Japanese soaktub (perfect for 2) or steam in your own private outdoor sauna, sit on the swing seat, or bbq on your own fire bowl. The space The Nook is a unique, luxury, hand built cedar cabin where everything provided is of the upmost quality and welfare, finished in shades of navy blue and mustard yellow with furniture hand crafted from local cedar wood. There is all the kitchen equipment you will need - a kettle, toaster, induction hob, mini oven, fridge (with small freezer) and a dishwasher. Plus pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, washing up liquid, dishcloths, tea towels, cooking condiments, fresh ground coffee & tea, pasta, rice and porridge oats . Relax and put the kettle on - I also include some of scones with butter & jam. All your bed linen and extra fluffy Egyptian towels & bath robes are included too. Keep snug inside with the log burner (and a generous basket of logs) or step outside and luxuriate in the private Japanese soak tub (think hot tub without jets and lights) - perfect for two and filled with fresh, hot water for each use, meaning no nasty chemicals! Enjoy your private, outdoor sauna for two and get steamy! Step off the veranda into the meadow to your fire-pit with fire bowl. We include barbecuing equipment for you to enjoy some "smoke & sizzle" too! If open fire cooking sounds a bit daunting, there's an induction hob in the cabin plus a small oven & microwave. If you fancy just "staring at the stars" then enjoy sitting on the swinging cedar love seat. You will find your stay the perfect way to disconnect - but don't worry, I wasn't going to forget free, WiFi -so after a day of exploring the countryside, you can wind down and listen to music on the bluetooth speaker or enjoy a movie on our SMATY TVs with Netflix. You'll find staying at The Nook to be an immersive experience, nestling into the landscape and local wildlife. Features such as the cabins' living roofs, the wildlife pond and patches of beautiful wildflower are dedicated to sustaining our local bees, bats and all wildlife alike. We pride ourselves on our green credentials and are happy to say we have an electric car charging point onsite for your use too. We charge £15 to make use of the charger during your stay. There are so many great cycle routes and paths in the Forest - why not bring your bike? We have a lockable bike shed and a bike wash area. Woof! We welcome 2 small dogs or 1 medium sized dog. We leave a blanket, towel, poo bags, water & food bowel and a treat for each dog. I will also give you information on dog friendly pubs and restaurants in the area. If you pooch has got a bit muddy on all those lovely walks, we provide doggy towels and have a dog wash area at the front of the site barn. There is a charge of £30 for one dog (£40 for two small dogs) per stay. This is payable by card to the owner before arrival - a payment link will be sent to your email address. We can occasionally accept one night bookings, subject to availability. These are charged at 70% of the cost of a 2 night stay. These cannot be booked online. Just message us to discuss. Guest access Self check-in with a keysafe. Other things to note The Nook is located within an SAC (Special Area of Conservation). It is a specially protected area close to a roosting site for the rare and protected horseshoe bat. As a consequence, there is restricted external lighting. There is a light at the site entrance but not on the cabin but don't worry - we provide a torch for you in your key check-in box.
