Welcome to our beautiful Grade II Listed thatched cottage in Prixford. Set in beautiful countryside ideally located for exploring the gorgeous area of North Devon. Built C17th. This is truly a wonderful area with easy access to the superb sandy beaches, surfing hotspots, quaint towns, villages, the Tarka trail, Exmoor, miles of footpaths for walking, cycling, horse riding and plenty of highly-rated golf courses. The cottage is self-catering with beams, wooden floor, heating & log burner! The space Our quintessential 17th-century thatched cottage is ideally located for exploring the beautiful beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Combe Martin, which are just a short drive away (approx 15 mins in each direction). A little further along the coast takes you to the popular towns and villages of Ilfracombe, Lynmouth and Lynton. To the south west, easy access towards Barnstaple, Bideford, Instow, Appledore, Westward Ho and onwards to the North Cornwall Coast. The cottage is very quaint and traditional. It has cob walls, inglenook fireplace, ceiling beams - the ceilings are still quite high! Overall the cottage is quirky and furnished to a good standard, providing comfortable self-catering accommodation, with a well equipped kitchen, heating & log burner and ideally located ensuring an excellent base for exploring North Devon. (No garden). Guest access The whole cottage is available as sole use consisting of:- outside parking space and further parking along the road or the village carpark around the corner. Front door opens into the welcoming lounge/dining area with inglenook fireplace and log burner (please bring your own kindling/logs!), wooden floor, exposed beams, comfy sofas, TV, dining table & chairs, book case and leads through to the fully equipped modern kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, microwave, Coffee machine (Bosch Tassimo, if you want to buy some pods to use), utensils and crockery. Hallway leading to the shower room - walk-in shower (electric), low flush wc, wash hand basin with storage & Electric towel rail). A washing machine is installed for use and there is access to a very very small outside storage area! Stairs to first floor small landing area with doors to Master Bedroom - with king size bed, bedside cabinets, side lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe and Smart TV (please note - TV is not connected to an aerial, but please feel free to use it to log into your Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Amazon Prime, Now TV etc accounts - (don't forget to log-out before you leave!) Bedroom 2 - over stairs storage cupboard, single bed with trundle (enabling 2 single beds), chest of drawers. The cottage is heated by Electric night storage heating and there is a log burner in-situ. (please bring your own kindling and logs). Although there is no garden there is access to very local public pathways ideal for exercising the dogs for early morning and evening walks! Other things to note The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, good selection of pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. Generally enough equipment for cooking a lovely meal for an evening in with the log burner!. The cottage is available on a self catering basis, a small amenity pack is provided for your initial arrival. Cleaning is undertaken by a professional cleaning management company who provide a high standard of cleanliness, fresh bedding and clean towels. We do ask Guests to bring their own coffee Tassimo pods if you wish to use the coffee machine, kindling and logs for the fire-This is due to lack of storage.
