Sumerset Cottage was specifically designed to offer a place of calm and peaceful relaxation. Come enjoy the screened in sunroom then look out over a beautiful valley and remember how beautiful America really can be. Sumerset Cottage is a guest house owned and hosted by Kirt and Susan Sumers. It is a completely separate cottage although their home is approximately 120 yards away. They will give you privacy or will be glad to visit with you about the area. The space The cottage is one of the most relaxing places you will find in the area. The beautiful upscale sunroom complete with a gorgeous view, comfortable seating, dining area and soothing fountain will take your breath away. From the sunroom you enter into an open concept living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is stocked with basic supplies: pots, pans, dishes, microwave, toaster, popcorn popper, refrigerator, electric stove, oil, and spices. The cottage has a classy and relaxing bedroom with a queen size bed. It is a great place to rest after a day of traveling, motorcycle riding, hiking, canoeing, or just as a get away. In addition, there is a queen size La-Z-Boy hide-a-bed in the living area. A twin size deluxe air bed is also available. The bathroom entrance has a single 8" step up into the raised bathroom and laundry. Outside there is a gas grill (gas furnished) and also a lovely fire pit (wood furnished) with a nice seating area. We do allow smoking but only outside. Other things to note Sumerset Cottage is less than 20 minutes from several access points on the Buffalo National River including Hasty Low Water to Grinders Ferry. We are located just off US Hwy 65 South. That puts you right on several of the recommended scenic drives and motorcycle loops.
