If you want to lose yourself in the beautiful countryside of North Wales, then our cottage is for you. We have created a haven of tranquility to return to after a busy day sightseeing or to hide away in and relax if that’s what you’re looking for. All the seasons are beautiful here, spring and summer and autumn with their vibrant colours, a time for exploration, and in winter you can enjoy the pure air and wrap up warm for exploring, or just simply cosy up inside our lovely, comfortable cottage. The space The cottage is situated within the grounds of our smallholding. We have many animals here, all of which are friendly:- alpacas, ,llamas, peacocks, sheep, to name a few. If you are an animal lover and would like to meet our furry and woolly friends, then we would be happy to show you around. We also have two Shepherds huts situated on our smallholding. If you are a larger group, we can still accommodate you. Each property has privacy but the huts and cottage are within a short distance of each other. Please look them up..the Shepherds Hut at Hafoty boeth and the Peacock Shepherds Hut at Hafoty Boeth. Guest access We are happy for guests to share other parts of our smallholding. Once we have shown our guests around, we are happy for them to explore. Many of our guests enjoy making friends with our alpacas and llamas. If you would like to picnic in the fields or our orchard, please feel free to enjoy the peaceful spaces which we have created and the beautiful view which surrounds us. The cottage is entirely private and guests can come and go as they please. The cottage has a garden which is completely private. There is a table and chairs for eating al fresco and we have recently installed a bbq. The garden is a lovely sun trap but there is also plenty of shade in which to relax. There is also a space for parking which is exclusive to our guests, but if you have further parking requirements, such as for a trailer or a second car, we have adequate parking within the grounds of the main house. Other things to note We are well situated for easy access to all areas in North Wales. Snowdonia is 1/2hr drive through beautiful countryside and the coast is about the same via the A55, or it may take a little longer if you choose to meander along the old roads, taking in some of the towns and villages on route. Ruthin and Corwen are our nearest towns, both reached via the A494. Ruthin is a charming mediaeval town with many sites of interest..the old gaol, the castle, the town square. There is a Tesco and soon to be an Aldi for your shopping and the old town has some great boutique shops for souvenirs. Corwen also has shopping facilities, although there isn’t a supermarket there. The old steam railway runs from Corwen to Llangollen (a great favourite with our guests). Llangollen has several supermarkets and many small interesting shops. There are also some great places to eat, one of our favourites being the Cornmill.
