Description
This is an exclusive historic farm stay cottage for up to 6 guests set within 250 beautiful acres of mixed grazing, orchards and forest areas located within Queensland's Gold Coast Hinterland. Along with 80+ cattle, 50+ sheep, 13 goats, 30+ chickens, 2 dogs and lots of birds and wildlife you will be the only guests on this unique minimal chemical working farm surrounded by World Heritage listed Springbrook National Park which includes some of the best views and short walks in Queensland. The space Echo Valley Farm Cottage is a separate self-contained farm stay. It is an ideal tranquil getaway for all ages including families, friends or couples. It is also a perfect place for bushwalkers and nature lovers! There are 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people comfortably (one Queen bed, two x two single beds), one bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, spacious dining and lounge area, a TV and DVD player (with some movies provided), a cosy fireplace (with plenty of wood available), a kids area (with some books, games and drawing materials provided), a laundry downstairs (with washing machine, drier and clothes line) all set in a lovely house garden with gas BBQ and wood fire pit included as well as great views over the farm. For farm bio-security reasons no pets are allowed. Guest access Guests have their own house and garden area which includes its own BBQ and fire pit. Guests may walk independently around the farm. There is signage on the gates and a short orientation can be arranged to provide information about the animals, wildlife, certified organic kiwi fruit and citrus orchard, old macadamia nut trees, forests, views and walks around the farm as well as the rest of Springbrook to explore. As this is a working farm there are animals in various areas and electric fences to be aware of. Sometimes access to some areas is restricted; it depends what is happening on the farm at that time. Other things to note Your own transport is essential when visiting Springbrook as there is no public transport or easily available taxi or uber service. There is no fuel or grocery shopping in Springbrook so visitors need to organise these before heading up the mountain e.g. Mudgeeraba or Nerang have good shopping facilities. There are cafes and a small shop open during the day in Springbrook but very limited opportunities for eating out at night. Individual businesses can be checked for their particular opening days and hours. Guests are not able to bring their own pets to the farm for farm bio-security reasons.
