Quietly nestling in the gentle rolling countryside this spacious and private cottage has everything from beautiful open views to total privacy, acres of space to little private corners. It has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored to a very high standard to meet the modern holiday maker’s requirements without losing its charm or character. Many original features have been retained incl. oak beams (some low), a Charentaise fireplace, original stone sink and smoking oven. The space The double rooms have Traditional French antique double beds and both these rooms have en-suite facilities. The two twin rooms share a family shower room. There are stair gates (top and bottom for both staircases), children's plates, beakers, bed safety sides and a highchair available on request. Don't restrict yourselves to JUST summer holidays - the weather here can be hot, sunny and BEAUTIFUL here from May to end of October. There is full central heating available should it be necessary and 2 wood-burning stoves to cuddle up to (wood at cost price). Guest access Down its own private drive the cottage is all yours (except for a couple of small store cupboards which are locked). Plenty of books both for children and adults. A DVD player but please bring your own DVDs. There is a trampoline, outdoor table-tennis table, swing ball, badminton net, boules/petanque, BBQ and, of course, the security fenced private 10 x 5 meter pool exclusively yours. Plenty of parking space next to the cottage. Other things to note Wifi: signal is weak and due to thick walls is not always available throughout the house. Stronger on back patio. Access: nearest ports are St Malo, Ouistreham (Caen), Le Havre, Roscoff and Cherbourg. Nearest Airports - Bordeaux, Bergerac, Limoges, Poitiers and La Rochelle. Train - Angouleme, Bordeaux.
