Cottage in Town of Gilboa

Home Alone Mountain is a cozy cottage in a peaceful country setting. The house beautifully located in the small vacation community with a mountain view. Enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the 1,5 acre meadow adjacent to the state forest, take on the stroll in the woods, wander around the historic villages, take a swim in the pond, enjoy the open roads on a bicycle or visit Windham and Hunter villages. The space Guests will use the entire cabin including a living room with a dining area, two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom with the shower, screen porch and wrap-around deck. The large bedroom with a queen-size bed and a seating area is located in the loft. The smaller bedroom with a full-size bed is located on the main floor. Guests will enjoy electric heated floors throughout the house and the propane gas fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with the cooking essentials such as pots, pans, utensils and dishes. Guests can store their food in the small fridge and prepare meals using an electric cooktop, large over the counter stove, or microwave. The outdoor area provides privacy and plenty of space for relaxation. Guests can use a gas flat top grill and set up the campfire in the fire pit with the forest view. There is a hot tub on the deck however, the availability is not guaranteed. We intend to prepare the hot tub for every guest but weather, technical issues, and the water condition affect the availability daily. We do not issue discounts when the hot tub is not working. Guests can relax in the arm chairs on the screen porch facing the state forest or enjoy the infrared sauna while watching the wildlife. Our property is at a high elevation, which means weather can change quickly. Please be aware that due to our location, temperatures can be cooler than in the valley. It's always a good idea to pack for all conditions. Guest access Guests have access to the entire space and will receive the keypad code after confirming that they agree to house rules and the hot tub waiver. Other things to note Every guest traveling with pets, should include them in the reservation. There is $30 fee per pet.
