The space We are located very close to an I81/I64 interchange plus all roads leading to our location are 4 lane highways except the last 50 yards. Our guests LOVE the view of the Blue Ridge from their private deck or patio and often take advantage of our fire pit. The night sky can be spectacular since ambient light is minimal. The nearby mountain ranges offer many hiking and biking trails and Route 39 is a scenic highway that offers tourists a beautiful drive beside the Maury River with access for swimming, canoeing and kayaking. Those with a fishing license will often enjoy some fishing. Many visitors come to this area to visit Washington & Lee University, Virginia Military Institute, the Virginia Horse Center, Natural Bridge and historic Lexington. In 2020, the Virginia Safari Park, located nearby, was a very popular destination and remained open while most other attractions were compelled to close. The area also has a growing brewery/winery/ cidery/distillery industry with several restaurants featuring craft beer, cider and wine. Guest access In addition to your private bedroom with en suite bathroom and kitchenette, you also have access to the home's deck, yard and private patio. Other things to note This is an active homestead. We raise chickens for eggs, have fruit trees and grow vegetables in several garden spaces. There are times when crops are being planted, maintained or harvested in the crop land surrounding the house. Very large farm machinery may be in the fields periodically. Enjoy watching them work but do not approach the machinery.
