Our Bedrooms are fully furnished & private. Photos are current. We seek clean, courteous, independent guest for each Single-Occupancy Room(s) on the Second Floor. We reasonably share Living Room, Kitchen, Laundry, Hall Bath & Powder Room and our half acre of yard with furnished Patio and Porch, nice shared outside spaces. All guests must confirm they are nonsmokers, with no pets or furniture storage needs and must document Covid Vaccination(s). Ours is an 1890's home. It will never look 'sterile', but is clean and has many cool original details and decorations. I have severe allergies, so we can NOT house SMOKERS or PETS, (or those who may work or play where smoke or pet dander can cling to clothes). Many guests find it pleasant to share a non-smoking, low allergen home. We have two 'Street parking Passes" and a few Driveway Spaces that can be assigned, for a small extra fee. Guests may reasonably use Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Laundry. Guests are welcome to enjoy our Porch, Patio and Gardens. We permit supervised gardening if desired. Guests must leave any Common Areas as clean (or cleaner) than before use. Guests may NOT enter the private Bedrooms of others, or our Library. Guests may not store items at our home. We do not want to import any 'pests'. or damage our property moving items in and out. We are walking distance to many UD buildings, and only 5 homes away from the ELI-West building. Our home is closer to the Main Campus than some of the UD Dorms. The famous DEER PARK restaurant is nearby. This is a quiet, tree-filled neighborhood, but our convenient location on W. Main Street may come with some traffic noise. We have a deep lawn and big trees which supply some buffer. The Free UD Campus Bus stops one block away. Several Del-DART Public Transportation bus routes stop nearby. The Newark Train Station has SEPTA trains to Philadelphia (PHL, U.PENN, 30th St Main Train Station and Center City) for $7.00 and also Amtrak Trains to NYC, DC, Wilmington and Philly with connections to almost anywhere. There is only one full bath. There might be as many as 4 people sharing it. They might be of a different gender, complexion or color. If you do not share our desire for equal justice and opportunities, you might be happier somewhere else.
