Converted BARN in a lovely valley with woods & streams situated on a quiet lane, between the north and south coasts. Stylish, well appointed accommodation, with a romantic bedroom in the eaves, plus a fun nautical themed children's room downstairs. Every facility you will need and very well located to access all of Cornwall. Dogs occasionally accepted dependent on breed and by individual arrangement. The space Stylish, spacious accommodation, furnished with all modern conveniences, and cosy home comforts; free wi-fi (* please see notes below) , bluetooth sound system etc. Converted from a beautiful traditional stone-built barn with thick walls and inset windows providing a peaceful retreat with beautiful views across the valley, fields and woodland. The barn offers hi-fi and Wi-Fi, plenty of cooking and dining equipment and comfortable seating with Freeview TV. There is a feature spiral staircase and we offer stair gates and up to 2 cots, high chairs and a baby bath and changing station. There is luxurious underfloor heating downstairs with a thermostatically controlled radiator upstairs. The double bedroom is large and romantic and offers fabulous views across an open valley of fields and woods. For the children there is an exciting nautically themed bedroom with (safety railed) adult sized bunk-beds. There are books and games and DVD's and plenty of lawns and adventure play equipment. We have our own water supply and only use eco-friendly laundry and cleaning detergents. The Byre has its own, private railed decking area with table, chairs and barbecue. There is a small lawned area and toddler play equipment plus an adventure fort for older children. There is plenty of safe off-road, gated parking. Ideal for young families and equally enjoyed by couples. * Please note re: Wifi. Whilst we used to use a limited satellite connection being 'out in the sticks' we now have a 4G mobile connection that we share with the barn. This connection has unlimited data and a decent download speed and is a fantastic improvement, providing sufficient bandwidth for streaming videos, music etc. There are very occasional outages, or the speed is limited, due to weather etc. so no service guarantees are provided. Guest access There is plenty of off-road parking, lawns and deck supplied with table and seating and barbecue, private screening of your own space but also access to lawns for games (please no football matches), a wild paddock with stunning views and children's adventure play equipment, which is shared with the one other holiday barn (Skyber) on our site. We are c.3 miles from the A30 at Carland Cross and so travelling to either coast or any of the attractions is very quick and easy. We are 'in the middle of nowhere...and the middle of everywhere'. Other things to note We often accept dogs, but strictly by arrangement and our judgment is based on what might be acceptable to other guests on the site who may not be dog lovers - so please do not be offended if yours is not accepted! Please contact us before booking. Please note that our preference is for one week stays or fortnights during the main holiday season commencing on a Saturday. If you need a shorter stay this is often available outside peak periods, so please do ask and we will do our best to accommodate you. In terms of location: We are 5mins from the A30 and the A390 and around 15 mins from Truro. The nearest pubs and restaurants are a couple of miles away - at Ladock, Mitchell and Probus, but that unfortunately is the price paid for the quiet, secluded and picturesque location! Both coasts are very accessible at around 25 mins to Newquay, Perranporth and St Austell along with an short drive to the Roseland Peninsula, so you should find it easy to spend the day at any of the beaches and then head home to the peace and quiet of Tregear Barns. For a busy harbour, along with shopping and dining picturesque Mevagissey is approximately half an hour away, as is the stunningly pretty St Mawes. We are also a 30-40min drive to The Eden Project, home to the impressive biodomes with conservation projects and regular outdoor music events. In terms of activities, as well as the stunning beaches of Cornwall, there are estuaries to fish and hire boats on, lots of beautiful coastal walks, surf schools and coasteering, or wild moorland to explore near Bodmin or on The Lizard. Truro, the cultural and retail capital of Cornwall, is just 4 miles away with the attraction of theatre, cinema, the cathedral, pubs and clubs, fine dining, markets and regular events.
