This unique property was built as the town's general store in 1837. It has been recently refurbished as a 2-bedroom cottage with an eclectic blend of heritage charm and modern comfort. Bothwell is the gateway to Tasmania's central highlands. The space The character of the exterior of the 1837 shop and cottage opens up to a bright and airy space with a blend of old and new. Hand made brick walls, pit-sawn timber floors and the original shop shelving are mixed with a modern kitchen and bathroom and high quality beds and linen to make your stay in this heritage building as comfortable as possible. Guest access Guests enjoy access to the entire building - the original store and cottage. There is a garden at rear as well as a myriad of historic outbuildings that guests may explore. I'll contact you by 2pm on the day of check-in with a code for a self-check-in. Please note that although we will try, we cannot guarantee early check in until that morning. Other things to note Bedding configuration = Main bedroom with queen bed and double sofa bed. Second bedroom with double bed. We pride ourselves in the best quality bedding - comfortable beds and clean high-quality linen. Please be aware of our cancellation policies - we have them for a reason and do not vary them.
