Iriomote Island, Taketomi-cho, Yaeyama-gun, Okinawa Prefecture. This is a remote island where you can experience nature, with 90% of the island covered by jungle. The entire island has been designated as a national park and was registered as a World Natural Heritage Site in 2021. A small two-room inn located deep in the historic small village of Hoshitate (Hoshitate, Hoshitate), away from the tourist areas, with a subtropical forest next to the inn and a beach right in front. The village is surrounded by a windbreak forest that is hundreds of years old, giving it an atmosphere like being in the woods. Why not stay in Inadate Village as if you lived there? The space Most of the electricity used in the inn is renewable energy generated by solar panels, so you can enjoy a sustainable stay without emitting carbon dioxide. During your stay The host family lives on the same property, so they can respond immediately in an emergency. The owner/host is also a trekking tour guide and can guide you if requested. Other things to note The entire property, including the outdoor terrace, is non-smoking. There is a store selling instant food, sweets, drinks, alcohol, etc. very close by, and there is also a store selling food and daily necessities 6-7 minutes away by bicycle. There is only a basic selection of items, but you can buy all the essentials. There is a curry restaurant nearby, and there are ethnic restaurants, an Italian restaurant, and a Chinese restaurant a little over 10 minutes away on foot. There are dogs, goats, and chickens that the host keeps on the property.
