The Red House is based just seconds from the heart of the city centre. The warehouse oozes history and character in every room and we also have parking. The space The Red House, as it is known locally, is a quirky 3 storey, grade II listed warehouse, bringing a fusion of 19th century charm with contemporary cool finish following a recent renovation; this urban space was used as a warehouse, purportedly as a drinking house, and now as a place to rest and play within the city walls. This beautiful property includes on its top floor, two large bedrooms; the master bedroom has a Superking bed with Superking duvet, the second bedroom has a double bed with king duvet. Both bedrooms have ample storage space and high quality brushed cotton sheets; a modern bathroom that includes a stand alone bath and separate shower. We provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bath salts, bubble bath and even bubbles for babies. On the middle floor, you will find a large lounge housing two upholstered velvet sofas, large plasma smart TV, exposed brick wall with original painting still visible and a newly added mirrored wall. There is also a collection of books for your reading pleasure, a lounge area for children with their own bean bags (toys are in the storage cupboard on the landing including tippee). On the ground floor there's an open plan kitchen diner and a utility room. The kitchen includes washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, SMEG range cooker and hob, cafetière and a microwave. The dining area has seating for 4 with ample space for the high chair if needed. The utility room includes a storage cupboard for guests which houses an ironing board, iron, hoover and heated clothes airer with cover. In order for you to travel as light as possible when with children we provide a high chair, potty, baby bath, change mat, travel cot, books, toys and children’s dining tableware are all available if needed at the house. Off the ground floor hallway, there is a W\C and cloakroom. At the rear of the property you find a convenient parking space which is included in the listing, right in the heart of the city; directions are set out elsewhere in this listing. Guest access Guests have unlimited use of the entire townhouse and its convenient parking space. Other things to note We pride ourselves on making your stay in our beautiful and unique city as memorable as we can. Please note we supply coffee and tea bags and if you want to cook, oil, salt and pepper. You might also find a welcome bottle of something to kick start your trip to our lovely city and home. If there's anything else you need, two supermarkets are within a two minute walk. Please note that whilst we pride ourselves on being pretty relaxed, we regret that we do not allow pets or smoking in The Red House and definitely not smoking pets; they're just socially unacceptable and a bit smelly.
