So, what's within walking distance? The great news is that you are in a secluded village surrounded by ample walking trails, freshly grown fruit and vegetables, olive trees, grape vines and next level views in a true Tuscan setting. You can happily spend your time exploring the village and surroundings on foot. Heating charges €6 per day What restaurants and bars are nearby? Meals are available 200 metres away at our Guest Restaurant in Motrone. Nearest shops ATM are a 30 minute drive down the hill . Alternatively, ask me about the local produce that can be delivered to your doorstep for a small charge! There is also a bread delivery 3 times a week to the village. Breakfast, should I expect it? We will supply a few local produced items to get you started in the morning including coffee (very important) a full delicious breakfast from home grown produce is available at our Guests Restaurant. What's the village like? Very small, idyllic, and potentially nothing like you've experienced before! At the top of a winding narrow road, lies Motrone. Hundreds of years old, this village has seen much more than world wars. The road was build in the 60's, and ironically saw the decline of the village population. Back in it's hay-day, the locals will tell you of 300+ people filling the cobble stone streets of the mountainous retreat, living off the land and meeting to go on dates with the good looking folks from neighbouring villages. Nowadays, its an ageing population, but doesn't keep the locals from having a great time and being super friendly (albeit interested in the people who find themselves there!). You'll find no shops here, however more information is below. What is there to do in the area? Tuscany is at your doorstep.
