A COUNTRY GEM ! Sawmill Creek Farm is our beautifully renovated 5 bedroom farmhouse that is nestled in the countryside of Blanchardville in Green County, Wisconsin. It's the perfect stay for your family and friends to make special memories and start traditions. Our farmhouse property is in a unique and lovely location for family gatherings, small wedding, reunions, retreat or celebration and just a great place to get away to rest and recharge. With many return guests to enjoy the tradition! The space MAGICAL MORNINGS, Let the Day Unfold !… You will love the experience of waking up in the morning and stepping onto the very large wrap-around front porch to enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the magical-countryside beauty, especially the sounds of the babbling water from the SAWMILL CREEK (ONLY 100 feet from the porch). The porch was hand-crafted by owner Jesse and is a great feature for the house in rain or shine or snow:) The PROPERTY The property has so much room to explore. Whether you spend time by the creek or take a family walk on the many groomed hiking trails through 60 acres lined with majestic oaks and stunning valley and hillside views. You may even collect a few turkey feathers to keep. PERFECT ENDING TO THE DAY End your day with dinner in the house or on the porch and take in the sunset. Or you can enjoy smore’s or hot chocolate when you build a fire in the fire-pit set up along the creek using the hand-forged campfire tools. You might see and hear fireflies, owls and a chorus of frogs. THE HOUSE Sawmill Farm House features 5 bedrooms with high-end mattresses to provide a restful experience. The house has comfortable furnishings and everything you need to feel at home. It can easily sleep 10 people. (If more than 10 guests you will need permission before booking and an extra cost of $25 per night per guest) 4 bedrooms are located upstairs and one on the main floor. There is a bathroom downstairs and one upstairs. The back entrance has minimal stairs for easier access. Uneven ground in areas as would be expected for rural property. Wood for fire-pit is provided. (Let fire burn down…do not use water to put out fire) OTHER THINGS TO DO…POINTS OF INTEREST The countryside is located in the driftless area of the state and is known for beauty and wildlife. Rustic roads lead you into quaint small towns to explore and enjoy. Visit these towns for shopping, breweries/wineries, coffee shops, cheese factories, Swiss culture, lakes, tours and great food.The location is near beautiful communities such as New Glarus, Blanchardville, Mt. Horeb, Mineral Point, Monroe, Belleville, Brodhead…to name a few. (15 minutes from New Glarus, 10 minutes from Blanchardville, 30 minutes from Mineral Point, 30 minutes from Epic in Verona and Duluth Trading Company in Mt Horeb; and 40 minutes from Madison) Guest access You will have full access to the house and all of the acreage. The only areas that are off limits are the barns and sheds. NOTE: WE ARE CONTINUALLY MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING OUR FARM SO THERE MAY BE TIMES WE ARE WORKING ON A PROJECT BUT WILL NOT INTRUDE YOUR HOUSE AREA AND WILL NOT BE WORKING AFTER HOURS, thanks for your understanding!
