LA BOUGANVILLE is a delightful seaside house 5 minutes' walk from the crystal clear sea of Chiessi, a typical village on the west side of the island. Tastefully furnished in white, blue and light blue tones, it is in a quiet area, surrounded by a lovely garden. Developed on 2 floors, it has a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea on Corsica and Pianosa. Inside are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room with kitchen-dining room, and a loft with sofa bed. Outside there are various shaded spaces, a shower and covered parking. The space The house, very welcoming and bright, has been completely renovated in a conservative way, using only precious materials and maintaining some original and characteristic elements of the cellars of the past of this area of Elba, such as the beautiful granite fireplace, the niche pantries, the ceiling with exposed beams, the small square in ancient stone and the typical "murelle" on the sides of the entrance door. The development of the rooms on different levels follows the natural conformity of the granite terrain typical of the area. Casa LA BOUGANVILLE is named after a plant from the warm areas with beautiful pink flowers, present in various parts of the property. The house can accommodate up to 5/6 people. On the ground floor, with direct access from the garden, there is a spacious living room with a sofa and TV corner, the dining area with a masonry kitchen, decorated with hand-painted tiles and equipped with: 5-burner enameled stove, a beautiful SMEG refrigerator with a freezer from the 60s in blue tones, an antique stone sink, a microwave, a dishwasher, nice white wooden plates and shelves, kitchen equipment and tableware. A beautiful white wooden table and blue vintage chairs complete the dining area. However, the fireplace, original and restored, is NOT usable. From the living room, you can access a double bedroom with independent access to the back garden, and to the right, a bedroom with two single beds, equipped with a walk-in closet; in addition, a bathroom on the floor with elegant blue and white decorations, a window and a shower cubicle; in the dressing room, a practical wardrobe with a mirror. From the ground floor, a characteristic terracotta staircase leads to the first floor in a mezzanine area, open to the living room, with a single/double sofa bed; on the same floor, the exclusive Vietri ceramic bathroom in emerald and sand tones, with a window and shower stall, and the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea, where you can admire wonderful sunsets over Corsica! The terrace is spacious and equipped with an outdoor table and chairs, a corner with a delightful light stone sink, a dishwasher, and an electric boiler, and is perfect for eating in the shaded area or sunbathing in the solarium area. Don't miss the wonderful sunsets over Corsica in the evening! The house is elegant and very well cared for in detail: light travertine-rustic floor, doors and windows in lacquered white wood, ceramic and brass handles, fine taps; there are also thermal glasses, ventilated roof, shutters with adjustable slats, two shower boxes illuminated and equipped with radio. The delightful garden with colorful flower hedges and typical aromatic plants surround the house on three sides and for this reason allows you to find pleasant areas of shade during the various hours of the day. Beautiful white wooden and cane pergolas equipped with tables and chairs, present in various parts of the garden: they are perfect for eating, reading or relaxing. A variety of lovely lights and lanterns illuminate the rooms and garden, embellished in the evening by spectacular plays of light. The house is also equipped with: air conditioning and heating (excluding the room with the two beds that has the heater and the fan), washing machine, drying rack, iron and ironing board, a small safe, convenient private covered parking for two cars, outdoor shower with hot/cold water, emergency lights, satellite TV with dish. LINEN for the house and garden (sheets, towels, tablecloths, decorative pillows, etc.) IS NOT PROVIDED by the owner. Only mattress covers, blankets, blankets, bathroom mats are available. Guest access To access the garden and the house, located at a raised level compared to the private parking and the street, you can either use the two driveways located on the sides of the parking area and equipped with their gates: the driveway on the right is completely independent, the one on the left is shared with the adjacent house. In both cases, you NEED TO CLIMB SOME STEPS. The driveways and parking area are illuminated. It is important to note that the house, given the presence of steps both outside and inside the house, is NOT particularly suitable for small children or people with mobility difficulties. Other things to note The private covered parking can accommodate two cars, the measures are as follows: height: 2 m (from the ground to the wicker roof), depth 5.70 m It is recommended NOT to drink tap water, as the aqueduct passes below sea level and therefore saline infiltration may occur. From the back garden you can see the cliff and the sea, but kind guests are recommended NOT to venture on foot to the small path below the garden because it is very steep, dangerous and in any case DOES NOT lead to the sea. Some of the owner's personal items are locked in specific areas of the furniture. At check-in, documents will be required, which is necessary for communication to the competent authorities.
