The Otter’s Holt

A stunning riverside retreat awaits you at The Otters Holt. Situated on the cusp of the spectacular Exmoor national park and 5 miles from the historic village and castle of Dunster. The space The Otter’ Holt offers riverside frontage with relaxing seating, fire pit and BBQ. • You may often see the Otters playing in the river or chasing trout. • A warm and cosy welcome awaits you inside, with a raised bed and comfy mattress. It comes with plenty of storage for 2 and all you need for a short break. • Upon arrival there will be the basic necessities to start to you off on your country break! There will also be some complimentary goodies for you to use/keep while you stay :) • Inside consists of a functioning kitchenette with a fridge, hob, sink, pots and pans, plates and cutlery. • A waterfall shower occupies the WC along with a full working sink and toilet and heated towel rail. • There is a fold out table for you to eat any meals you cook, or you might want to have a game of chess, draughts or miniature pool! • If games aren’t your thing, you can relax with a book (or browse online and stay in touch with the outside world!) one a couple of fold out chairs with matching foot stalls, maybe next to our log burner effect fire? • We’ve got cosiness covered inside, so if you fancy a little around the village, maybe up the road to have a taste of some real Somerset cider, a warm welcome back will be waiting! • For nicer evenings, we have included with the property, a bbq, fire pit and outdoor seating. • If you don’t fancy cooking for yourself, a stones throw to your left as you leave The Otter’s Holt, is The White Horse In. A cosy village pub with lots of charm, beat full outdoor seating and delicious food!! Booking is advised! • Bed linen and towels are provided and we politely ask that you leave them behind when you vacate the property! 😁 • We hope you have a wonderful stay with us! Guest access The gravel parking area out the front is the beginning of the guest access! • The hut itself is situated on raised decking, so there’s a few steps to get to it. • On the opposite end of the decking, is another gravelled area which is a bit more private and consists of some quirky gardening by Calley 😁 • This area is also where you will find the bbq and the fire pit. • We do ask that you only use these facilities in this area of the property and not on the decking. This is for obvious health and safety and fire regulations! Other things to note The Otter’s Holt is situated on a working trout farm so expect to see a couple vehicles passing up and down the track adjacent to you :)
