Description

ORGANIC GUEST HOUSE - Tailored for families, open to all! Hello! If you are looking for a place to take a break from modern Japan, experience some more traditional way of life while immersing yourself in a 100% organic environment, don't look further because our guesthouse might be just what your body and soul have been longing for... Our motto comes down to 3 words: organic, nature-oriented and family-friendly. We would be happy to share this lifestyle of ours with you. The space Our motto comes down to 3 words: organic, nature-oriented and family-friendly. We would be happy to share this lifestyle of ours with you. Our observation is quite straightforward: over the years, the overproduction and overconsumption of food, clothes or various consumer goods has caused countless damages on our bodies and our environment. The solution we're offering is simple: we use only natural, traditional, eco-friendly goods. In our kitchen you'll find that every single condiment we provide is organic: sugar, salt, vinegar, soy sauce, miso paste, etc. The same goes for the bed rooms and the bathroom where the sheets, pillow covers, amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wash) and all kinds of towels we have purchased reflect the care we take in selecting green products. Our guesthouse is of course a place to share and exchange but it is also a place to learn and experience! Come light a fire in an old-style oven and cook rice in the traditional Japanese way. Try your hand at bengara dyeing, natural dyeing or stencil dyeing. Give a go to ceramic art at the local workshop. And the list goes on! Other things to note Frequently asked questions from guests Q: Is there a parking lot? A: There is a parking space for about 5 cars at the guesthouse. Of course, it is free. In addition, there is a free downtown parking lot in Fukiya Furusato Village. Q: About the equipment and items to bring A: Shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, bath towels, seasonings (sashi-sushi-seso), tableware, etc. are also provided. Please bring your own toothbrush and pajamas. *We offer completely organic bamboo toothbrushes for sale (paid), considering the global environment. Rental yukata is also available. Q: About experiences that can be done in Fukiya Furusato Village A: You can experience cooking in a kamado, red ocher dyeing, red ocher stencil and mud dyeing, pottery, making chili peppers, and sightseeing guides. *Advance reservations required Q: About meals and grocery shopping at the guesthouse A: The guesthouse has a shared kitchen, so please buy ingredients in advance and enjoy a fun meal while interacting with other guests. *Organic seasonings, pots and pans, and tableware are all provided! *We do not have a microwave. We also have gift boxes of ingredients. Anyone can use and eat them. For those who forgot what to eat. For those who thought, I want to try this ingredient! For those who can't eat it all and want to share it with someone. If you enjoyed the food and want to share it with someone, you can use this gift box. The nearest supermarket is 30-40 minutes away by car, so we recommend that you buy your groceries in advance. Q: About meals near the guesthouse A: In Fukiya Furusato Village, where the guesthouse is located, there are small old-fashioned shops and stores where you can buy alcohol, but the villagers value their daily lives, so they close the shops in the evening. This is also one of the charms of Fukiya Furusato Village. *There are no restaurants or convenience stores where you can eat breakfast or dinner. Q: About check-in and check-out A: CHECK IN / Check-in Around 17:00 (Around 16:00 in winter, December to March) *Of course, check-in after 17:00 (16:00 in winter) is also possible. We recommend checking in by around 19:00. This is because Fukiya Furusato Village, where the guesthouse is located, is at the top of a mountain at an altitude of 550m, and there are few streetlights and narrow roads along the way. After checking in, all guests will have a brief self-introduction and a tour of the guesthouse. *If you arrive at Fukiya before check-in, you can store your luggage and use the parking lot until check-in time. CHECK OUT / Check-out Until 10:00 *Fukiya Furusato Village facilities open at 10:00am. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.
