Cute and cosy one bedroom apartment in superb east side location. Only two apartments in the complex with great separation. You have your own exclusive all weather outdoor area and separate entry. There is a full kitchen, with fridge, full oven and stove, TV with streaming app loaded with acces to it via chromecast, the NBN WiFi modem is located in the dining/sitting area. There is a compact dedicated full bathroom located in the apartment. There is also a large back garden that you can relax in The space We have owned and manage ECLECTIC PARADISE (Down) ourselves for over 20 years. We do not use real estate agencies or other third parties to look after our property. In addition we do many of the cleans and regular spring cleans on the property to keep it in good order. We sometimes will even get to meet you if we do the clean before you arrive. The one bedroom unit comprises an 3200mm by 5000mm open plan full kitchen dining / tv lounge area with a separate 3200mm by 3000mm bedroom with one queen bed and an open wardrobe giving you a total of 28m2 of inside living. There is modem that provides internet for the entire building located in the far bedside table. There are ceiling fans in both rooms and all windows are fully screened. There is a large 3600mmm by 6000mm outdoor private covered dining and living area in front of the unit for you to enjoy exclusively giving you an additional 21m2 of outdoor living. The unit has Nbn access and a smart tv with google chromecast for ease of use. The bathroom is small, but functional. The shower has a rain shower head and glass screen with a pivot glass entry door and the internal shower dimensions are approximately 870mm wide by 900mm deep. The whole bathroom is approximately 2900mm long by 870mm wide with the shower at one end and the toilet at the other end. The vanity unit is in the middle of the bathroom opposite the entry door. Due to accessibility constraints the property is not really suited to hosting guests with mobility issues. Note that there is no dishwasher, washing machine or clothes dryer available for guest use at this property. The property is not air conditioned and we have priced it accordingly. We endeavour to give our guests that personal touch and care to ensure that you have the best possible holiday experience. We are contactable and available to provide you with assistance for the whole duration of your stay. Eclectic Paradise (Down) is our preferred holiday destination, and are continually adding to and improving the facilities on offer. We have native Australian wildlife visiting our property on a regular basis including a large variety of birds, goannas, kangaroos and wallabies, koalas, possums, bandicoots, echidnas, lizards, butterflies and more. The golden wallaby, endemic to straddie occasionally visits, look out for them. Straddie is a pristine wilderness and there is plenty of wildlife you will have a good chance of seeing in or near our house such a kangaroos, koalas, plovers, curlews, kookaburas and many different types of honeyeaters. In the ocean, whales, dolphins, turtles, stingrays, sharks, manta rays and many different types of fish and coral. The snorkelling is good as the water is so clear. Being one of Queensland's premier holiday locations, Straddie can become busy with holiday makers during school holiday periods. There are other holiday homes located in Bambara street. However Bambara street is a small street, it has little road traffic even during busy holiday periods. There are only two units in the complex with the other unit occupying the top level. The property is situated in a perfect central location on the ocean side of the main road in quiet leafy Bambara street. The property is within comfortable walking distance to all major beaches, headland walks, whale watching platforms, shops and eateries without having to cross any busy main roads. The coastal walking track runs within 30 metres of the property. We supply linen and towels, they will be placed on the bed, It is up to the guest to make their own beds. We provide bath towels and bath mats but not beach towels, please bring your own beach towels. Straddie being an island is surrounded by warm ocean waters rarely gets very cold, Winter temperatures here tend to average 21 degrees during the day and 11 degrees at night. Also summers tend to be mild with maximums rarely going above 30 degrees. Outside: The property is surrounded by a large garden with extensive grassy areas and flowerbeds full of local native species selected to attract bird life and butterflies. a) There is an outdoor shower out the front of the house with a copper rainshower head. b) There is space streetside for parking vehicles. The carport is for owner parking only. c) There is a large garden behind the complex for you to enjoy. d) You have a large outdoor living area, 6 seater table and lounge for you to enjoy. e) There is a outdoor garden seating area in the back garden. f) There is no BBQ, however there are free excellent electric BBQ facilities located in the parks at the point. TV Please note that due to there being no tv signal reception on the island your tv streams its signal through the nbn and you use the white chromecast remote to access it via streaming. It is intuitive and easy to use. PETS NOT ALLOWED: Distances to points of interest: 0) Start of whale walk and new boardwalk 50m 1) Frenchmans beach steps 250m 2) Bob's shop 400m 3) The Green Room cafe, gorge walk entry and ice cream shop 500m 4) Deadmans beach 500m 5) Cylinder beach 700m 6) Stradbroke hotel 1000m 7) Main beach, south gorge and slsc 1100m 8) The main headland walking track is just 30m away at the southern end of Bambara street. 9) A whale viewing platform located on the deadmans beach walking track is only 50m away. It is a perfect place to watch the sun set. The fishes of Eclectic Paradise, the fish are stylised and are slightly out of proportion. Painted by Lenore on marine ply. 1. There is construction work activity happening on our neighbours block. Guest access Exclusive access and exclusive entry into your unit plus the outdoor area to the front of the property. Shared use of the single car port Shared use of all of the garden areas. Other things to note There is a combination Key Lockbox located next to the front door. I will send you the combination code to this lockbox after your booking is completed. Your Key Lock box is the second one down. To access you need to do the following. 1. Open the plastic cover to reveal keypad. It pivots from a hinge at the bottom so gently hold plastic cover and pull towards you. You will now be able to access the keypad. 2. You will see a button at the bottom of the key pad with a "c" on it. Push down this button and then release it. 3. Enter the 4 digit code 4. Now push down the large button up top of keypad with an arrow on it. The lock will open. To lock it follow steps 1 to 4 again
