Atatū - pool, spa & views near vineyards
Description
'Atatū' means "dawn" - our favourite time at the property, when the sun travels across the sea to outline the hills and all is peaceful. Atatū is a great base for outdoor adventures in the three National Parks nearby, wine-tasting in local vineyards, olive grove picnics, gallery visits or delicious meals in excellent local eateries. A glorious swimming pool and spa await you upon return. The chef's kitchen & BBQ ensure you can prepare sumptuous meals with delicious local ingredients. The space Atatū sleeps eight people in four bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms. (Complimentary Port-a-Cot available on request.) The furniture reflects our many years living in Asia - a combination of Bali meets China, with some modern pieces thrown in. Apart from lovely bed linen and fluffy towels, you’ll find waffle weave bathrobes in your room - perfect for your meander to the coffee machine in the morning before curling up on the daybed by the pool, enjoying the birdsong and view, while planning your adventures for the day. Or, of course, as you make your way to the swimming pool or spa pool after a busy day of activities. The home is always warm and cosy in colder months. We have central heating with radiators in each room, there is a heat pump in the kitchen and a fire in the living room. There is flexible check-in with a digital door lock. We'll send you the code for your stay in an Airbnb message two days before arrival. There is a washer and dryer should you need it. We only use environmentally friendly cleaning and body care products. It's a wonderful space to hang out with family and friends. Enjoy! Guest access The house is all yours. Other things to note Please note that parties and events are not allowed. We have a no noise after 11:30 pm policy to respect Taylor and Monique, the on-site property managers, who live in the house down the drive with their young family. The villa is for maximum 8 people occupancy. We charge an additional amount per person after the first two guests to cover the extra costs of cleaning and linen use etc. It's a no-smoking house but you are welcome to smoke on the terrace. Be careful to dispose of cigarette butts in the ashtray provided (can be found under the sink in the kitchen). The Moutere can get very dry and is prone to fire! While the spa is always warm, the pool will be heated only over summer and the shoulder seasons (approximately mid-November - Easter, depending on weather conditions). The property is self-sufficient for water. Rainwater is collected on the roof, filtered and stored in large tanks before being UV filtered for drinking. It tastes amazing! Whilst we have plenty of capacity, please be conscious of your water use, especially during the summer months. Atatū is now also available for day-only bookings where you can enjoy the sauna, outdoor shower, pool and spa pool. The large tables, both inside and out, provide room for up to 10 people to enjoy lunch or to work on your strategy and vision. We have also hosted yoga and wellness retreat days as well as team-building days which have been hugely enjoyed by the participants. Please message for pricing. Atatū is a working farm and there are animals grazing on the property. Please do not explore the property without prior approval from Basia or Monique as there are natural hazards - as you would expect with any working farm. There is an unfenced pond in the valley, so it is important that children especially, do not wander the property without supervision. Thanks in advance and enjoy yourselves!
