The space Welcome to the Viking Dream! Prepare to be captivated by breathtaking views and Northern Lights from the hot tub. The location is perfect, close to many attractions in the Lyngen Alps. In winter, you’ll enjoy stunning Northern Lights from your own private alpine plateau or through the large living room window of the main cabin. The property includes: Main Cabin: Two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It has one queen-size bed and one full-size bed, accommodating up to 4 guests. Second Cabin: A living room, bedroom, and kitchenette. It includes a queen-size bed and two bunk beds, also sleeping up to 4 guests. Guests have full access to the entire property, and there will be no one else staying on-site—neither hosts nor other guests—ensuring a truly private experience. Both cabins are equipped with electric heating. The main cabin offers WiFi with unlimited access. SEPTEMBER 2023 UPDATE: A water well has been installed, providing year-round access to running water. Some older reviews may mention winter water in containers, but this is no longer the case. The property now features hot water to the faucets and shower year-round, along with a newly remodeled shower room. Drinking water is still provided in containers in the kitchen as the well is new. SEPTEMBER 2025 UPDATE: A large deck with a hot tub has been installed. Guest access The cabin is a short and easy 45 minute drive from Tromsø. Parking is at THE MAIN ROAD by the lake. From the parking you will see the cabin up the hill. Guests walk up a small hill to reach the front gate of their alpine oasis. The path is 50 m long and gains 9 m in elevation to get to the cabin from the road. During October-May, the path is covered in snow and may be slippery with shoes that are not suitable. Anti slip gravel is sprinkled on the entire path when needed. Best suited for backpacks rather than suitcases.
