Cretan stone-built house

The space I have restored this house with great respect to the Cretan architectural style and took care of every detail of it so that it offers comfort as well as originality to the visitor. Since I am an archaeological conservator specializing on the conservation and preservation of architectural remains, I used all my experience in preserving the authenticity of this place while making it comfortable and functional as well. What makes a great difference in this house is the details like the pebble floors of the bathroom and WC and the handmade brass taps and blown glass light fixtures which were brought from the workshops of Damascus. Furthermore, the house is equipped with a very fast wifi internet line with unlimited data download, which makes it ideal for those who need to work during their stay. The two bedrooms are located on the ground level which makes them cooler and there is an open cellar at the basement which is very pleasant and can accommodate one or two persons extra. The front porch is small and colorful and can be the best place to enjoy your coffee in the afternoon when the upper terrace is hit by the sun. On the first floor there is an open plan kitchen and sitting area adjacent to the terrace overlooking the village, olive groves and Tholos bay. The house was initially built for personal use, therefore everything was designed with a lot of care. Guest access The guests can access easily both the North coast of East Crete which is only 3 km drive and the south coast which is about 16 km away. The archaeological sites located on the hills behind the house can be accessed either by car or hiking, and offer breathtaking views of the gulf of Merambello.
