Beach Chalet, Branscombe, Devon

"Swift" is a wooden chalet on the beach in the lovely Devon village of Branscombe. Throw open the balcony doors and look out onto the ever-changing sea and the stunning coastline which is a World Heritage site and area of outstanding natural beauty. The space A wood-clad chalet, sleeping 6 people. Accommodation consists of a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower over, living area opening onto a balcony overlooking the sea and two bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with twin beds and a bunk (all standard single size). A further sleeping space can be created by removing the back cushions from the bench seating in the living area ( this is slightly narrower than a standard single bed size). Duvets and pillows are provided but guests need to bring their own sheets, duvet covers, pillow slips and towels. Outside the door a flight of wooden steps takes you straight down onto the beach and there is also a small grassy area to the side of the chalet where you can relax in the deckchairs (provided) and watch the sun go down. Guest access Guests have access to the whole chalet except for one under-bed cupboard which is locked. Other things to note *Duvets and pillows are provided at the chalet but guests need to bring their own duvet covers, pillow slips and towels. *Rental of Swift chalet includes parking for up to two vehicles in the main car park. Car registration numbers must be sent to Beth before you go so they can be put into the system and avoid your being charged for parking. *There is no vehicular access right up to the chalet. After parking in car park, guests can either turn left onto the beach and walk 100yards across the beach and up the wooden steps to the chalet or, alternately, they can go up the field at the gate next to the ford and down the first path on the right which brings you to the back of the chalet (avoiding the steps!). * The field can get slippery after prolonged heavy rainfall so please be careful. *Please note that after heavy rain or high tides there is a stream running across the beach which means that you cannot access the chalet this way without getting your feet wet. * We ask that guests leave the chalet tidy when they depart and remove all of their belongings and rubbish. Rubbish and recycling should be taken to the area next to the car park office and placed in the appropriate bins. * We regret that WiFi is currently unavailable to buy from The Sea Shanty.
