Kariappa House - Private Room C (Garden & pool)

The C Room is a private room at our Villa in Pondicherry called KARIAPPA HOUSE, which is a sprawling family estate, located in the fast gentrifying fishing hamlet of Vaithikuppam, adjoining the French precinct. I live on the property and am available to guests whenever required. I am assisted by trusted old family caretakers. Although the main attractions are within walking or cycling distance, the house and grounds of the Villa itself are a great place to relax and rejuvenate. The space The entire property is a group of interconnected houses set amongst tropical gardens and courtyards. Some of the studios are occupied by long stay residents who are mainly writers or artists. There is a beautiful covered lap pool on the property, more for exercising than lounging in. There is a lovely covered terrace for Yoga or just for getting together. Guest access Guests have access to all common areas. During your stay I am always available on whatsapp and my team is always available in person. But if you don't need us, you will not see us. Other things to note Please check the calendar for local Hindu Tamil Festivals. For example, the festival of MASIMAGAM on 26th-27th Feb 2021 is a huge spectacular event but the neighborhood is also noisy and crowded on those days. The entire property is a quiet retreat. We request our guests to maintain this peaceful atmosphere. It is very conducive for writers and creative people and those who want to just go inward. Hence it is not an ideal place for children younger than 12 who will not have much to do. We offer home cooked meals (lunch and dinner) on request and extra payment. Other facilities available are a Massage Room (Male/female masseuse available on call) and Yoga teacher available on call.
