The space Tangent House's outdoor spaces include two small decks, a fenced yard, a screened porch and a second-floor sleeping porch off the rear bedroom. Tangent House is a two-minute walk to the Appalachian Trail and 100 yards from the Virginia Creeper Trail, one of the country's most beautiful rail trails. We have equipped this home like we would our own-- which means a fully equipped kitchen, and the essentials you need like shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, etc. Eating areas include a dining room, the kitchen counter, breakfast nook, and outdoor picnic tables, easily accommodating large parties without feeling crowded. Guest access Guests have access to all parts of the home/property, including a driveway that can accomodate up to 4 vehicles, a carport and a storage shed for safe stowing of bicycles. Other things to note While pets are not allowed at Tangent House, the previous owner had pets, and current owners bring their dogs a few times a year. Guests with sensitive allergies should plan accordingly. Washington County does not have curbside waste pickup, so guests should plan to "pack out" their trash. Local waste station information is available in the guest book & in the instruction message sent before check-in. The home is equipped with beds for 10. Additional guests can be accommodated on the couch, a fold-out futon, or a floor mattress.
